  1. 01 AI Engine → Workspace → Connect a mobile app.
  2. 02 A code appears. It carries a one-time token, good for five minutes.
  3. 03 Scan it. The token becomes an Application Password, kept in the iOS Keychain or encrypted under an Android Keystore key.

Revocable The app never holds a provider key, and any paired device can be revoked from that same panel in wp-admin.

What you need.

This is not a standalone app, and it would be a waste of your evening to find that out after downloading it. Here is the honest list.

  • A self-hosted WordPress site

    Version 6.0 or newer, and you administer it. Not WordPress.com.

  • The AI Engine plugin

    Free, from wordpress.org or meowapps.com. Workspace is in the free core.

  • HTTPS on that site

    WordPress only issues Application Passwords over TLS. No certificate, no pairing.

  • An administrator account

    Workspace is admin-only today. Per-role access is planned, not shipped.

  • At least one AI provider key

    Configured in AI Engine, in your name. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, and more.

  • iOS 17+ or Android 8+

    Phone or tablet, either platform. One app on each store.

If you already run AI Engine on your own site, you have everything but the app.
